When a man of local stature and honor come face to face with with a man of national stature and honor it becomes a moment in history to be endured for the future of our young men and women in Natchez. So often the struggle for equality for African Americans are confined to the media reports of the large Metropolitan areas and seem to be left behind as to what we are doing and have done to benefit the cause locally. The meeting of ser seshs ab heter-boxley and Andrew Young during the dedication of the Proud TO Take A Stand Monument here in Natchez Ms. gave great honor and showed those who were wrongly incarcerated and abuse were noticed, and appreciated for their struggles in the movement. The actions of the people bring about change and the proper education by the leaders make change last. Remember your history and write it down, store it well as future generations need to know.
